Andrew “Andy” Blackburn, PA, was born in England and grew up in South Australia. After graduating high school in 1975, he joined the Royal Navy, England as a Leading Medical Assistant (submarines) and was discharged in 1982. Following discharge, he emigrated to Bremerton, Washington and was employed as an Emergency Room Technician. He moved to Houston, TX in 1990 and became Program Manager at Wound Center and Hyperbaric Medicine Departments. He entered PA school at the University of Texas Galveston in 1998 and graduated in 2000. Andy joined CHSA as Dr. Bruce Minkin’s PA in July 2002.
